CONDOMÍNIO ALADO | 2021

Today the cities are scorched earth.

Trees give way to buildings where people live who grow plants because they miss trees.

João, who built for his family, decided to undertake the project to save his family who could not find a place to live.

This is how João de Barro Construction Company was born.

With different types, the nests made with wood waste are unique - each piece of wood imprints its color, smell and texture on the organic shapes of this invented nature, where birds orphaned by trees can find a home.

Condomínio Alado is an ode to nature from start to finish.

The duo Nicole Tomazi and Sergio Cabral invited Ian Diesendruck to co-create this limited series of functional sculptures. Amid the pandemic chaos, the idea was to produce the objects in their backyard, with their own hands.

Each party brought a piece of research under development to the workbench. Nicole and Sergio studied possible uses for wood chips, a residue produced when working with wood. Ian developed sculptures using metal and welding.

The result is the Condomínio Alado collection.
