FLUXO | 2023
Under the direction of TOMAZICABRAL and with the participation of Cris Bertolucci, Ateliê de Fiação launches its first collection of numbered lamps
What would happen if we let the flow of life guide us? If, instead of meticulous planning, there was room for improvisation and surprise? After all, do we really have control over anything? It is with this thought that the Fluxo collection was born, a numbered series of unique luminous objects, launched during the 2023 SP Design Week, woven by dozens of hands in various parts of Brazil with the aim of discovering, only at the end, where the current of collaboration leads.
Created by the duo TOMAZICABRAL, designers Nicole Tomazi and Sergio Cabral, the group Ateliê de Fiação uses crochet as a platform for manual dialogue to create experimental connections. Nine people from different parts of the country participate in a collective challenge to create together, in a creative flow: a way of combining different visions and aesthetics in the same language.
Sensory, organic and three-dimensional objects emerge, in which crochet is the guiding thread. With the participation of light designer Cris Bertolucci, they gain, in addition to their own light, brass points that expand the dialogue between shapes and materials. To help visually orchestrate this story, Michell Lott's art direction comes into play.
Participants:
Camila Bernadeli, Cristiana Bertolucci, Ian Diesendruck, Isabel Muxfeldt, Marcella Sotratti, Nicole Tomazi, Sergio Cabral, Thaina Dlugosz, Vera Skitnevsky.
